We Don’t Rely on the State: Our Statement on the William Planer Mistrial

**UPDATE: Planer accepted a plea deal following the mistrial, and has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently serving 4 years at Sacramento County Jail, and as he is eligible for half time, he will likely be released in early July of 2019.**

As many of us are aware, the aftermath of the June 26, 2016 Nazi shutdown in Sacramento is far from over. In an attempt to regain some control over the situation, the state is in the midst of pursuing criminal charges against one neo-Nazi and three anti-racist protesters involved in the riot. The anti-racist defendants’ trial is fast approaching- check out our Facebook page for ways to support them. The one neo-Nazi in question, William Planer, has just been tried. After extended deliberation, and despite clear evidence of his participation in the brutal assaults that occurred that day, the jury was unable to reach a verdict. The judge has declared it a mistrial, and a second trial has been scheduled. Planer remains in Sacramento county jail. On Blast: Joseph and Anna Simmons, Neo-Nazis of Carmichael

A printable poster with information about Joseph Simmons.

Joseph Ryan Simmons (AKA Josef Sigmundr) and his wife Anna Stasia Simmons (AKA Anna Sigmundr / Anna Lovesee) are two local white supremacists associated with the neo-Nazi gang the Golden State Skinheads (GSS). Joseph was one of twenty GSS members who participated in the infamous neo-Nazi rally at the State Capitol on June 26th, 2016. After the rally was canceled due to overwhelming opposition, GSS members brutally attacked anti-racist counter-protesters with knives and clubs , Joseph himself was carrying a knife on the Capitol grounds that day. **Updated** Sacramento Attorney Danny Brace Defends Neo-Nazi William Planer

**UPDATE: Danny Brace is no longer William Planer’s attorney. It has been brought to our attention that Brace and Planer were unable to agree on a defense strategy, and have decided to part ways. Brace has been replaced by Michelle Spaulding, who was retained as Planer’s new attorney on record at his February 23rd court appearance. Spaulding is arguing a self defense strategy for Planer, and they are now preparing for his upcoming trial. A private attorney from the Spaulding and Campi law firm located at 901 H st, suite #200, Michelle Spaulding clearly has no problem taking money raised by the now defunct Traditionalist Worker Party (TWP) for Planer’s legal defense via donations from white supremacists across the country. Visit our Facebook page to learn how you can join our campaign against Michelle Spaulding and her collaboration with this dangerous neo-Nazi.**

June 26th Anniversary: We Vowed To Shut It Down, And We Did.

Join us in remembering the events of June 26th, 2016, when anti-fascists bravely prevented white supremacists from rallying in Sacramento, California. Despite a massive police presence and near-deadly stabbings by neo-nazi skinheads, people from all over Northern California held it down and ran the fascist scum out. Now, a year later, we are releasing a poster ready for you to download, print and distribute in commemoration of that day.   We honor the sacrifices of the past and look to the future with resistance and determination in our hearts. Together, we will continue to fight fascism and oppression. The struggle is far from over.

In unyielding solidarity with those working to expose and oppose fascism across the country and around the globe. We stand with you.

June 26th: Resisting State Repression

In early March, the California Highway Patrol completed its investigation of the anti-Nazi shutdown that happened in Sacramento last June, forwarding a 2,000-page report to the District Attorney’s Office. Law enforcement is urging the DA to charge 106 individuals with 514 misdemeanors and 68 felonies over the stoppage of the white nationalist rally that happened nearly a year ago at the State Capitol. While the intent here is no doubt to scare people, there is still a legitimate threat directed at our community. With this in mind, we would like to humbly offer these suggestions to prepare for the repression that the state has in store. This statement is intended for any anti-racist and anti-fascist protesters who attended the anti-Nazi demo on June 26, 2016, but it is also relevant to anyone in the same communities as those who attended. Fighting Fascism in the Face of State Repression

Yesterday, news broke that the CHP is urging the DA to charge 106 individuals with 514 misdemeanors and 68 felonies over the shutdown of the white nationalist rally at the state capitol nearly a year ago. This development, while alarming to many, should come as no surprise. If anything, it is just another clear indicator that the state is the enemy of radical movements and of the people, and that the police are not to be trusted or given any information for the sake of our collective safety and freedom. In the coming days, we will be releasing an in-depth and comprehensive guide to protecting yourself from and preparing for state repression. For now, here are some key things to remember: Continue reading “Fighting Fascism in the Face of State Repression”

Supporting Each Other And Resisting State Repression

CAIR’s notorious anti-FBI poster. We love it.

It has now been five months since the events that unfolded on June 26th. Given the gravity of the situation, we must assume that the investigation is fully underway and prepare for repression accordingly. It is abundantly clear that during this aftermath period, we can expect to see law enforcement take its usual route of targeting and isolating individuals in an attempt to gain information to be used both to prosecute and for ongoing surveillance purposes.
